Emthonjeni Water Management
Emthonjeni Water Management (Pty) Ltd ("Emthonjeni") was established in 2003 as a true Black Economic Empowerment company offering specialist, yet comprehensive, water service delivery solutions to the Mining sector. These include the management, operation maintenance, repair and upgrading of both new and existing water systems (raw water; portable or water re-use; sewarege and effluent treatment)
There are many examples of BEE initiatives that have failed in the past or where wealth transfer has remained firmly in the upper echelon of black society. Today, there is a very strong drive by Government to achieve the real aims of BEE, an objective satisfied by through meaningful HDI participation in shareholding, management and operations of the company, reinforced by strong Employment Equity drive and rapid and sustainable skills transfer through the partnership. Emthonjeni will not only achieve these objectives, but also satisfies the requirements of the Mining Charter in this regard
Our tender also brings the strength, expertise, existing resources and proven track record of Emthonjeni's shareholders across the spectrum of the company's activities.
Emthonjeni, operating from its head office in Johannesburg, offers improved and comprehensive water service delivery solutions to the Mining sector through a wide range of contract frameworks, tailored to meet the needs and requirements of their Clients. Through it's shareholders, Techno-Manzi (Pty) Ltd ("Techno-Manzi") and Water and Sanitation Services South Africa (Pty) Ltd (" WSSA") , Emthonjeni offers the expertise, depth, strength and 17-year track record essential for performance excellence in the water sector in South Africa.
